Getting Started - Jia for outreach

Jia’s task management infrastructure is well-suited for tracking interactions with houseless individuals in your district.

How to use Jia for outreach services:

1. Create a division called “Outreach”. This division will allow you to separate all data related to outreach interactions from other tasks your team completes.

2. Create a set of quick actions: as an example, you can start with “Engagement” and “Incident”. Creating both types of tasks as “quick actions” will allow you to quickly access these tasks from the home menu of the Jia app.

Engagement tasks in this example can be used to track non-emergency interactions.

Incident tasks in this example can be used to track emergency interactions.

You are free to add other types of interactions to the app using task categories. For example, you may want to add a Tent Count task category that allows you to count the number of tents in a given area.

3. Upon creation of  a task,the location of the task is automatically saved in the Jia app. Any details of the interactions in question can be entered into the “Notes” field.
